Ø       Built a one-click automated Chef based deployment tool leveraging Ruby, Jenkins, AWS APIs and Github for managing over 500 multi-site Wordpress nodes for the Kaiser Marketing team.

Ø       Developed the operating model for enterprise deployments and environment management in the AWS cloud leveraging Route 53 for DNS management and multi-region failover, RDS for scalable SQL and NoSQL managed data storage, CloudFront CDN for application assets, ElastiCache for key-value stores, Cloud Watch for monitoring, SNS for centralized notifications, SQS for job queues, OpsWorks and CloudFormation for provisioning complex service stacks and VPC (Scenario 1, 2, 3 and 4) for advanced logical cloud security.

Ø       Wrote a Ruby based central notification router that routes AWS infrastructure SNS notifications to HipChat.

Ø       Transitioned the Health and Human Services backend infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services cloud platform via Chef and Ruby based automated DevOps solution to provision consistent platforms across multiple cloud providers for complex multi-tiered applications.

Ø       Wrote the Cloud Automation Platform (CAP), a ruby based toolkit for managing complex n-tier application stacks on AWS. HHS is currently in the processes of open-sourcing this solution.
